Emily Guidry

Interior Designer, NCIDQ, IIDA, CHID

It's hard to beat Emily to the punch, as evidenced by the extensive project list she's amassed over just a few years working in Interior Design. A graduate of the interior design department of University of Louisiana at Lafayette, Emily was working on projects at the Lafayette General Medical Center before she was even out of school. After witnessing Emily's work first-hand as a part of the design team for the Lafayette General Hospital Expansion, WHLC jumped at the chance to bring her onboard. Since joining WHLC, Emily has become a licensed Interior Designer, received an IIDA award for work on the BTR Metropolitan Airport Expansion, and established herself as a key member in the WHLC Interiors Studio.

As a project interior designer with a growing expertise in healthcare design, Emily is committed to making spaces that protect the health and welfare of the patient, while also providing them with the opportunity to heal in comfort. Her experience at WHLC includes client interaction; selection and specifications of furniture, fixtures, equipment and millwork; project estimating, procurement and installation of furniture; and artwork selections.

Emily has always known she wanted to be an Interior Designer, and never lost sight of her dream job. She brings that same combination of genuine exhilaration and tenacity of purpose to all of the jobs she works on. Even though her passion is interiors, Emily loves to balance that energy with outdoor activites. In her free time, you can find her fishing, kayaking, or gardening; after all, this is South Louisiana.
