Those who know Rex Cabaniss know that he is committed to Downtown Baton Rouge and in providing opportunities for growth for the next generation. Whether it be his work with the Downtown Development District or in promoting art in Baton Rouge through his work with BR Walls, Rex has taken LAPCS' challenge to "choose to lead!' to heart.

Rex is being recognized this month for his volunteer work as a board member at the Mentorship Academy downtown. Louisiana Public Charter Schools (LAPCS) features Rex in their latest Board Member Focus. Rex speaks about the new Robotics Lab and his appointment to secretary of the board.
