Ian Bardwell
Designer
A native of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, Ian began his journey with Architecture at a young age, introduced to it by his grandparents via Lego. Since then, he has studied the art, attending Louisiana Tech University to earn both his Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies and Master of Architecture. His time at Tech was formative in his understanding of how Architecture interacts with the individual.
After schooling, Ian worked in Covington, Louisiana, for a year, before moving to Kansas City, Missouri, following his soon-to-be wife. He found work at a firm in the downtown area, where he worked on many different projects. While there, he focused his efforts on growing his skills as a designer and as a renderer, becoming the primary producer of renderings within his office. All the while, he continued to hone his skills in other parts of the architectural process.
In addition to his architectural work, he helped in volunteering with a mission to the poor in the city as much as he was able. Through various life experiences, he had grown to find the importance of giving the poor the best we can. Whether it was helping to refurbish houses to bring a homeless person off the street, or helping to cook Thanksgiving meals to hand out to those in need, he did his best to help those in need.
After the birth of his first child, he and his wife moved back down to Louisiana, choosing Baton Rouge as a nice midground between their families. He began working with WHLC in 2024. At home, he enjoys playing with his daughter, writing novels, cooking, and playing Dungeons and Dragons with friends and family.
