Baldwin County Association of Realtors

WHLC coupled Traditional Acadian Architecture with Sustainable Design and Construction to withstand the test of time. The Baldwin County Association of REALTORS® is an LEED Certified building. The site design consists of permeable surface parking, sod for overflow parking, low impact lighting, and onsite water retention. The building Sustainable Design goals include an energy-efficient building envelope, low-use plumbing fixtures, intelligent illumination programming, and highly efficient HVAC equipment and filtration. The water use is 50 percent less than the local code requirements [ASHRAE Standard 90.1]. During construction the project team used 20 percent regional building materials, recycled 87 percent of building materials, and greatly improved the standard for Indoor environmental quality.
