The new burn unit roof garden accompanies a 13,930 SF internal burn unit expansion and move to the third floor. The roof garden takes advantage of the move to use an existing portion of an adjacent roof to create an oasis for the burn patients and their families.
The roof garden promotes emotional well-being by providing a haven where families can enjoy fresh air, sunshine, and the landscape, all in a safe and secure setting. With the important role of the healing process as the main goal, the concept of family-centered care is built into the entire design of the Burn Center.
