Bienville State Office Building

The nine-story Bienville State Office Building, along with the adjacent Iberville Office Building, forms an urban gateway into the Capitol Complex in Baton Rouge. As called for by the Capitol Complex Master plan, the massing and detailing of this 275,000 sf office building translates the “Art Deco" styling of the State Capitol into a lighter and more modern interpretation. The ground level plaza leads visitors into a spacious entry lobby featuring art murals, while the building's design and construction have combined the highest standards of energy efficiency with state-of-the-art interior office space. Designed in conjunction with EDR, this building houses the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals.
