Construction is underway for a new, 95,000 square foot, 5-story clinic office building at the main campus of North Oaks Health System. Clinical Office Building I will provide additional clinic spaces to facilitate expanded care to the North Oaks service district.
The clinic fills an important void in the existing campus fabric by connecting the existing Clinical Office Building II to the main hospital through a series of covered walkways, colonnades, and internal circulation corridors. A new glass canopy next to the hospital entry provides easy access for patients. Protected ambulance and service access is provided by an additional canopy that will cover the existing hospital drive between COB I and COB II.
The clinic's exterior design will incorporate campus standard brick, glass, and metal panel into a new architectural composition that fits within the existing campus fabric while being distinct in its articulation.
The first floor will include a retail pharmacy, eye care clinic, optical shop, and café. Floors two through four will consist of flexible clinic spaces entered through light-filled waiting areas on the north side of each floor. Infusion services will be provided on the top floor, served by a dedicated infusion pharmacy. Three different infusion bay models will offer a range of patient privacy options while also featuring sweeping views of the North Oaks campus.
