Riverwood

The Village at Riverwood creates a unique, mixed-use community that preserves the historical character of River Road, and respects the existing ecological site conditions. This 580-acre Planned Unit Development includes a mix of residential, commercial, educational, cultural and open space.

The Village Market frames the central ellipse park area and contains a mix of condominiums and apartments over ground floor retail. The Market links to the adjacent Church and Elementary School site plus nearby home sites. Riverwood consists of a 134-acre nature preserve located in the floodplain area and contains a series of lakes and ponds. The Village Square will be the centerpiece of an additional mixed-use neighborhood, featuring 'main street' retail plus ample public parks, greenways, and sports fields.

Planned in conjunction with ABMB Engineers and Reich Associates, the vision for The Village at Riverwood was refined through a series of open house sessions involving River Road property owners, neighboring homeowners, and municipal review agencies.
